Mayang Imphal MLA inspects ruins of burnt shops

Imphal, November 16 2025: Mayang Imphal Assembly Constituency MLA Kongkham Robindro today inspected the shops ravaged by an inferno at Laphupat Tera Konuma Thongkhong in Imphal West on Friday night.

Notably, a massive fire ravaged at least seven shops and injured two people at Laphupat Tera Konuma Thongkhong on Friday night at around 10.30 pm.

The injured were identified as Md Himad Khan (37) and his wife, Abe who were sleeping in their grocery store when the fire erupted.

Today, the MLA personally assessed the situation and spoke with affected shopkeepers.

The MLA expressed deep pain over the unfortunate incident and assured the affected families that he will provide everything necessary to set up a temporary shelter for them at a nearby community hall.

Kongkham Robindro also assured to speak with relevant authorities to ensure they receive every possible assistance from the Government.
