MOA, MCA delegates meet Governor

Imphal, May 15 2025: Representatives of Manipur Olympic Association called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan, here, on Thursday.

During the meeting, the MOA team apprised the Governor on the need for upgrading the velodrome and fencing court at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, as these facilities may be used for the 39th National Games scheduled in 2027 .

The upgrade of the facilities were proposed as per the intimation by Meghalaya State Olympic Association, which would be hosting the 39th National Games.

Governor directed YAS secretary N Praveen Singh, who was also present during the meeting, to expedite ways for upgrading the existing facilities to ensure timely completion and ready for the sporting mega event, a release issued by Governor's secretariat informed.

Representatives of Mao Catholic Association (MCA) also called on Governor AK Bhalla and sought his support in advancing initiatives for the welfare of the community.
