PWA holds 'Meet the Author' event

Imphal, March 15 2026: The Progressive Writers' Association (PWA), under the aegis of the Chief Ministergi Artistesinggi Tengbang (CMAT) scheme, commenced a two-day "Meet the Author" programme today.

The event, held at the Loktak Hall of the Manipur Press Club, saw the participation of notable figures, including G Dharmadas Sharma, Joint Director of Art & Culture; and Ibosana Khuman, president of PWA Manipur.

At the event, G Dharmadas stated that the primary objective of the event is to provide research scholars an opportunity to meet with eminent local writers, learn about their history, and facilitate extensive research into their life stories to make them better known to the public.

The "Meet the Author" event also serves as a platform for writers to share their life experiences and discuss potential new changes or innovations in the field of writing or art in general.

G Dharmadas also emphasized that the act of writers documenting their inexpressible knowledge and experiences in books provides significant benefits to society.

Eminent writers scheduled to interact during the programme include Sahitya Akademi Awardee BM Maisnamba and noted radio playwright M Enao.
