MNPF lambasts NSCN-IM

Imphal, July 14 2014: Questioning which is better for the Nagas, life before ceasefire or after ceasefire between NSCN-IM and Government of India, the Manipur Naga People's Front (MNPF) said that the Naga people are facing untold suffering at the hands of NSCN-IM during this ceasefire period.

The cries of the Naga people are too much for the people to bear, the NSCN-Im has been have suppressing the Nagas politically, mentally, economically, and spiritually, particularly, the poor and weaker sections of the Naga society, said a press release issued by the outfit's assistant publicity secretary Thomas Numai.

NSCN-IM has forgotten the national cause, abandoning all the ceasefire ground rules they have been collaborating with the Government of India for their benefits.

They cannot even recognize their own brothers and sisters.

Yet shamelessly they have been advocating 'Nagaland for Christ' .

NSCN-IM have become a bunch of hypocrites during this ceasefire with the Govt.of India.

NSCN-IM had committed numerous crimes on the Manipuri people even though they tried to conceal their crimes.

During the ceasefire period of NSCN-IM and Govt.of India, they mercilessly eliminated Dr Kishan SDO Kasom Khullen, Wungnaoshang Keishing former MLA Phungyar AC, Mr.& Mrs.M.H.Varengam of Lungphu village, Shaipam of Wahong village, James Mao of Senapati, Jonathan Kashung former TKS president, Kenedy Paomai of Senapati, H Victor of Chatric Khullen, A Shepou of Senapati, Machingmi of Nongdam Tangkhul village and Ngalangzar former vice-chairmen & sitting councillor ADC Ukhrul, it alleged.

The reasons of killing of the above mentioned persons have not yet been explained to public by NSCN-IM.

All the crimes committed by NSCN-IM are carried out with the directives of the Western Tangkhul NSCN-IM leaders.

None of the victims listed above belonged to Western Tangkhul (Thuingaleng Muivah and his top officers' area).

If Western Tangkhul NSCN-IM cadres are sincere and just, Wungnaoshang Keishing, the former Phungyar AC MLA and Dr.Khashim Ruivah former Chingai AC MLA should be awarded equal punishment.

Since it was not, it is questionable why the punishment was awarded only to Wungnaoshang Keishing and why Dr.Khashim was spared.

Ngalangzar the former chairmen and sitting councillor members ADC Ukhrul had been shot dead as anti-Naga.

"Let's wait and see whether the Western Tangkhul NSCN-IM cadres will consider Western Tangkhul ADC Members as anti-Nagas", it added.

MNPF condemned the brutal assassination of Ngalangzar the former ADC Vice-chairmen and sitting councillor member and also shared the pain and grief being endured by the bereaved family.

MNPF further appealed to all social organization, churches and general public to stand up and rise in one voice to revolt against the atrocities of NSCN-IM.
