People's Welfare Organisation observes 29th foundation day

Thoubal, September 13 2025: The 29th foundation day of People's Welfare Organisation was observed today at PWO's ground located at Wangmataba Mayai Leikai with the active participation of the local community.

The event kicked off with a 2-minute silence to pay homage to the deceased founder members of PWO.

The event was attended by Akoijam Sanatomba, former Vice-Chairperson, Thoubal Municipal Council; Waikhom Prafullo, former Vice Chairperson, TMC; an elder of the locality Leitanthem Lukhoi and Best Innovative Farmer 2025 Awardee Akoijam Deben as the presidium members.

Speakers at the event lauded PWO for notable contributions for the welfare of the locality and its people including organising two free health camps.
