Imphal, June 13 2009: Distributing incentives to the teachers and awarding students with sound success in this year's HSLC and HSSLC exams conducted by the board of Higher Secondary School and Council of Higher Secondary School, Manipur by various civil and students organizations and trusts at various level continuing in the state.

The Ideal Academy, Kumbi today distributed the 6th Teachers Incentive Award, 2009 given to the students of Kumbi Kendra of Bishnupur district securing highest marks today in function organized at the academy.The All Zeliangrong Students Union (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) also felicitated students of Zeliangrong community scoring remarkable success at a function held at Senapati district headquarters.

A total of 236 students and teachers of schools located within the Andro Assembly constituency in Imphal east have also been honoured with meritorious in a function held at Yairipok Yambem Leikai today.

In the 6th Teachers Incentive Award conferred organized by the Ideal Academy, Kumbi was given to N Solomon son of Bhorot of Kumbi Leirak Achouba of the YP English High School, W Bhogen son of Dhino of Ethai Khunou, S Nanao son of Khubu of Ethai Khunou of Little Bird High School, Moirang and Kh Ashok son of Tomcha of Kumbi Bazar of Standard Roberth High School, Canchipur.

The award distribution function was graced by former principal of the Ideal Academy W Mangi as chief guest and founder member of the academy Kh Nimaichand presided.

In the function for distribution of meritorious award to the students and teachers of Andro Kendra which was fourth of its kind Babita, wife of the MLA Th Shyamkumar attended as chief guest and president of the Development Committee, Andro Kendra, Md Fakurruddin, members of zilla parsihad and pradhans of the area attended as guest of honours.

The awards were given to the students who passed in first divisions in the HSLC and HSSLC exam conducted by the Manipur board and council.

During the function, Aheibam Seityaban, gold medalist of the Manipur Sahitya parishad was also honoured.

Among other students who conferred award today included 12th position holder in the HSLC exam Laitongjam Bipinjeet of Anthracic English School, 17th position holder Joyprakash Maibam of Sacred Heart School hailing from Yairipok.

With them 132 students passed with first division in the HSLC exam and 69 students passed HSSLC with the same division with 34 teachers were honoured with meritorious award in today's function.

Speaking on the occasion, Babita said that the students and teachers were honoured with an objective of producing good students from the Andro A/C with the initiative of her husband, Shyamkumar.
