District Administration orders eviction of unauthorized structures in Jiribam

Jiribam, July 11 2025: The District Administration of Jiribam has issued a strict directive for the removal all unauthorized structures, shops/sheds and extensions erected on public lands and town areas of Jiribam by 3 pm of July 18, 2025 .

The order comes in response to rising incidents of encroachment that have led to public inconvenience, traffic obstruction posing safety hazards and public nuisances to the commuters.

The order issued by Krishna Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, mandates concerned encroachers to remove the illegal structures or debris at their own expenses within the stipulated time.

The administration has warned that non-compliance will attract penal action under relevant Act and will lead to eviction, demolition and removal of the structures by the District Administration, District Police and various line departments.
