Cycle rally to save agricultural land enters fourth day

Imphal, February 11, 2011:
As the cycle rally to save agricultural land organised by the Loumee Sinmee Apunba Lup Manipur (LOUSAL) entered fourth days, Ex CM Wahengbam Nupamacha flagged off the rally today from Wangoi.
Around 150 volunteers who have been participating in the rally organised by LOUSAL was flagged off from Wangoi today at 8 am by Wahengbam NUpamacha after they have visited Imphal East, Imphal West and Bishnupur areas.
The rally went through, Samurou, HIyangthang, Irom Meijrao, Mekola, Malom, Ningombam, Langthabal, Canchipur, Singjamei, Pishum, Khagempalli and stayed at Takhel Leikai and have their lunch there.
Later they went upto Khurai and will spend the night there.
The volunteers also visited agricultural lands of Malom, Canchipur and Lamphel areas which have been acquired by the government in the name of developmental works.
The rally will be concluded tomorrow with a simple function at the hall of Sangeet Natya Mahavidyalaya, Takhel Leikai at 1 pm.
Professor W Nabakishore, Manipur University, Professor KI Meetei, Vamnicom Pune and Ph Rajendro, Deputy DirectorAgriculture Department will graced the closing ceremony as presidium members.
