Moirang, January 11 2026: The prize distribution ceremony of the '1st State-level Moirang Kangleirol Open Painting Competition 2025', organised by the Keke Moirang Kangleirol Kanba Lup, was held on Sunday at Ayangleima Community Hall, Moirang.

The function was graced by Moirang Assembly Constituency MLA Th Shanti Singh as chief guest; while president of Keke Moirang Kangleirol Kanba Lup, Gouro Moirangcha, presided over the ceremony as functional president.

The programme was also attended by several distinguished guests of honour, including Director CDC and Deputy Registrar of MUC, Dr Lourembam Sunil Singh; Ingu Pukhrambam Thangjing Phamnaiba Cheirap Loisang, Ph Mangilal; president of Federation of Haomee, Sapamcha Jadumani; president of Kabui Union Manipur, Dr K Heera Kabui; Moirang Khamba Thoibi Dance Academy president Y Modhu; and Associate Professor of the Dept of Mathematics, Manipur University, Dr Kumam Anthony Singh.

A total of 30 participants from across the State, took part in the competition, which was conducted on seven different themes.

Venish Keisham of Singjamei Leishangthem Leikai clinched the first prize, while Soraijam Ajit Singh of Thangmeiband and Akkoijam Prashanta of Kwasiphai Mayai Leikai secured the second and third prizes respectively.

The winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs 10,000 for first place, Rs 5,000 for second place and Rs 3,000 for third prize, along with citations.

In addition, seven participants were selected for consolation prizes, and were also felicitated during the ceremony.
