Kamjong, May 10 2026:
The Tangkhul Aze Katamnao Long (TAKL), also known as Southern Tangkhul Students' Union, has strongly expressed dissatisfaction over the persistent Airtel network disruption affecting several areas of Litan, Leinganching, Sikibung, Thoyee, Kamjong and surrounding areas.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, TAKL stated that the public and student community have been facing immense hardship for a prolonged period due to unstable and frequent network outages.
The student body said that the disruption has severely affected communication, online education, emergency services, banking facilities, official work and other essential daily activities.
It termed the continued negligence towards the people of remote areas as highly unacceptable.
The union further stated that despite repeated complaints and public grievances, there has been no significant improvement in the network condition, adding that the people can no longer tolerate the continuous failure of telecom services in the district.
In this regard, TAKL issued a strict ultimatum to the concerned Airtel telecom authorities to restore and stabilise network services within three days from the date of the statement.
The Union warned that if the issue remains unresolved within the stipulated period, it would be compelled to initiate appropriate measures.
