CADA conducts awareness programmes

Imphal, July 06 2025: As part of its ongoing effort to curb the abuse of drugs and alcohol, Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA) organised awareness programmes at Hiyanglam Warakhong in Kakching district and Moirang Hanuba in Imphal West district today.

The awareness programmes were held on the theme.

"Impact of drug abuse on society and the public's role in checking the rampant use of drugs" .

The programme at Hiyanglam Warakhong was held in collaboration with Association for Social Harmony and Activities Club (ASHA).

It was attended by CADA president Hijam Priyokumar, Social Economic Development Organisation (SEDO) president Elangbam Gandha, SEDO secretary general Kollam Ajit, ASHA president Elangbam Memma and CADA Kakching District Committee vice president Thambal Ngoubi as presidium members.

CADA vice president Ningthoujam Doren also attended the programme as a resource person.

Also, the awareness programme at Moirang Hanuba was conducted in collaboration with Moirang Hanuba Nupi Chaokhat Khongthang Lup.

It was attended by CADA secretary organisation Mayengbam Budhi, Moirang Hanuba Nupi Chaokhat Khongthang Lup secretary Nongmaithem Medha and president Soyam Bala as presidium members.

CADA secretary general Takhellambam Geetchandra Meitei also attended the programme as a resource person.
