Multi-purpose building inaugurated

Noney, July 04 2025: The Rongmai Baptist Churches Council (RBCC), Longmai Zone today celebrated the dedication and inauguration of its newly constructed Multi-Purpose Building at Khumji-3 village, under Noney district.

The programme commenced with the unveiling and inauguration of the building's monolith by Rev Dr Rathai Riamei, general secretary RBCC, followed by a dedicatory chorus by the Longmai Baptist Church Choir.

Pousinlung Kamei, Pastor of Longmai-2 Baptist Church served as the moderator of the event.

The welcome address was delivered by Rev Gaiphulung Gonmei, convenor of the Program Committee, while Akhao Dangmei, chairman of the Building Committee, presented a detailed account of the building's development.

A significant highlight of the event was the recognition of the land donor, the late Sk Tuanjinang, who generously donated two acres of land free of cost for the construction.

His son, Sk Pouguangrei, chairman of Khumji 3 extended a heartfelt welcome to the dignitaries and expressed gratitude on behalf of the family.

Dignitaries, including ministers and guest speakers, acknowledged and appreciated the generous contribution of late Tuanjinang's family-not only the land donation but also a substantial financial contribution towards the building and today's program.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and presentation of citations to donors and dignitaries by Rokungliu Panmei, Zonal Secretary, RBCC Longmai Zone.
