Dharun Kumar S takes charge as Deputy Commissioner of Senapati

Senapati, June 01 2026:
Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Dharun Kumar S on Monday formally assumed charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Senapati district.
A 2019-batch Indian Administrative Service officer from Tamil Nadu, Dharun Kumar was bom on June 3, 1994 .
He completed his Bachelor of Engineering from the Institute of Road and Transport Technology, Erode, in 2015 .
He later earned a Master's degree in Public Management from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, in 2021 and an LLM (Professional) from the National Law University (NLU), New Delhi, in 2022 .
Prior to his new posting, Dharun Kumar served as Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur district since June 2023 .
Dharun Kumar is a recipient of the Election Commission of India's Best District Election Officer Award for "Best Electoral Practices," which was conferred by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, during the National Voters' Day celebration held in New Delhi on January 25, 2025 .
He was also featured among the "100 Best District Magistrates/Deputy Commissioners of India" in the May 2026 edition released by Fame India, recognising his exemplary administrative leadership, innovative governance and commitment to public service.
Dharun Kumar succeeds Mamoni Doley, who had been serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Senapati district since May 18, 2023 .
