Imphal, October 31 2025: The Thadou Students' Association (TSA) has taken serious note of the alleged incident at Daili Village, Kangpokpi District, Manipur on October 29-30, 2025 in which suspected Kuki individuals allegedly shouted provocative and inflammatory slogans.

In a statement issued by its spokesperson Vicky Thadou, the TSA clarified that Thadou is not Kuki, rather it is a distinct tribe and identifying it as Kuki is a misnomer.

Further, if any Thadou individual was involved in the said incident, the TSA appealed to them to voluntarily come forward to the association.

The TSA, in coordination with the Thadou Inpi Manipur (TIM), will facilitate an amicable resolution through dialogue and understanding with NPO, it said and condemned any deliberate attempt to sow seeds of discord among communities.

The TSA called for restraint and mutual respect, stating that it remains committed to peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence among all communities.
