One-day awareness programme on substance abuse held at Keibul

Moirang, August 31 2025: In a concerted effort to tackle the menace of drug abuse and build a healthier society, the District Administrative Committee Bishnupur, in collaboration with DSWO Bishnupur, SUA, Anti-Drug Campaign (ADC) Bishnupur, and Meira Paibi Apunba Lup, Keibul Unit organised a one-day awareness programme on 'Substance Abuse' at Keibul Lamjao Makha Leikai Community Hall.

The programme was graced by Child Welfare Committee Bishnupur, chairperson Khuraijam Rebati Raman Singh as chief guest; Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (MPAL) Keibul Unit, president N Shandhyarani Devi as functional president; and Social Worker M Asnikumar Singh; Moirangkhunou GP Pradhan L Dhaneshwor Singh; and Officer-in-charge Keibul PS, P Okendro Singh as guests of honour.

During the event, Project Coordinator of Anouba Punsikon under IRCA Bishnupur, Doren Heisnam; and Anti-Drug Campaign Bishnupur, convenor I Newton delivered talks on vital themes such as "Preventive Measure, Treatment & Rehabilitation of Substance Abuse" and "Importance of Collective Responsibilities to Mitigate & Prevent of Substance Abuse" as resource persons.
