Imphal, March 31 2026: The All Manipur VDF Employees Welfare Association has withdrawn their Statewide strike slated to begin from April 1 following the Finance Department's approval to sanction funds amounting to Rs 1,60,18,624 to procure VDF uniforms.

According to a press release issued by AMVDFEWA, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand, who is also in charge of Finance, approved the clearance of encashment permission for funds to purchase VDF uniform materials.

The Finance Department approved the sanctioning of the sum and transferred the allocation of funds to the concerned district TOs.

AMVDFEWA has extended its gratitude to the Chief Minister and other concerned subordinate staff for approving the clearance of the encashment permission for funds.

It has also urged the respective SPs to distribute the VDF uniform materials at the earliest.
