Imphal, October 28 2019:
In view of Government of India's hectic efforts to bring a solution to the Indo-Naga peace talk, the State's security situation is being monitored closely, said a top ranking police officer.
Apart from taking up necessary security measures, the State's security situation is being reviewed everyday.
Taking serious note of the mass protest movements announced and spearheaded by many civil society organisations, all police personnel have been prohibited from taking leave.
Moreover, due process has been already initiated to bring back Central paramilitary forces sent to Haryana for election duty and Assam in the wake of publication of NRC.
With Imphal-Dimapur highway still cut off in Nagaland, the Central paramilitary forces would be brought to the State along Imphal-Jiribam highway, said the senior police officer.
