AESL opens first Manipur Centre in Imphal, signs MoU with Assam Rifles

Imphal, July 30 2026: Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), India's leading test-prep organisation with over 37 years of legacy, on Wednesday opened its first centre in Manipur at the TLT Sports Academy Complex, Thaoroijam, Imphal West district.

The centre was inaugurated by Manipur Fisheries Director T Phulen Meitei.

Spread over 8000 sq ft, the Imphal centre has five classrooms with capacity for over 300 students.

It will offer residential and non-residential coaching for NEET, IIT-JEE and other medical and engineering entrance exams, so students from Imphal and across Manipur can access quality preparation without relocating.

AESL Imphal Branch Manager Khuraijam Ricky said the centre will provide tuition fee concessions.

AESL PR Head Varun Sood said the Imphal centre is AESL's 9th in the Northeast and 415th in India.

AESL already has eight centres in the region at Agartala, Dimapur, Guwahati, Kamrup, Nagaon, Silchar, Jorhat and Dibrugarh.

On the occasion, AESL also signed an MoU with Assam Rifles to extend scholarships and academic support to personnel and their families nationwide.

The welfare programme includes 100% fee waiver for personnel who died in harness, 90% for gallantry awardees and those with over 20% disability, 50% for those with less than 20% disability, and up to 30% for serving and retired staff.

Similar MoUs exist with the Indian Army, CRPF, BSF and ITBP .

AESL MD & CEO Chandra Sekhar Garissa Reddy said the launch brings world-class coaching to students' doorsteps and reflects AESL's commitment to student-centric education.
