Preparatory meeting held for 80th Independence Day celebration at Kakching

Kakching, July 29 2026: The Kakching District Administration led by Deputy Commissioner Angeline Renita R, met with the District Level Officers (DLOs) and their representatives to discuss over the preparedness for the upcoming 80th Independence Day celebration in the district.

During the meeting, the DC discussed in detail regarding the role and responsibilities of each department assigned for the day.

The Deputy Commissioner urged all the departments to work in close coordination and complete their assigned responsibilities well in advance to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the 80th Independence Day celebrations.

After delegating the duties to the concern departments, a unanimous decision was taken in the meeting that the full dress rehearsal will be held on the August 12.The meeting was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner/Additional District Magistrate Ph Bhavananda Sharma; Additional SP (Law & Order) L Shankerjit Singh, Assistant Commissioner to Deputy Commissioner T Millikan Singhand officers of the District Administration Kakching among others.
