Free medical and deafness screening camp held in Pherzawl

Pherzawl, October 28 2025: District Health Society, Pherzawl District today organised a one-day Free Medical Camp-cum-Free Screening of Deafness at Tuolbung Upper Primary School, Pherzawl district.

The initiative aimed to reach underserved communities and offer timely healthcare access was conducted as part of the ongoing Sardar@150 initiative.

Led by Chief Medical Officer Dr Hmanglamkhup Kom, the medical team comprising three doctors and several support staff examined around 212 patients, providing consultations and distributing medicines at no cost.

Parallel to the general camp, free screening for hearing impairment was conducted by ENT specialist Dr Tunlalmuan and his assistant.

A total of 32 individuals underwent screening, identifying four patients as likely with symptoms that may classify them as differently-abled, requiring further medical follow-up and support.
