UN Family Skill Programme concludes

The closing ceremony and certificate distribution of the 4 week UN Family Skill Programme was held today at Sangai Hall of Imphal Hotel.
The programme was jointly organised by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Regional Office for South Asia and Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) to improve parenting, family resilience, and child well-being.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Seema Joshi Arya, Criminal Justice Expert, UNODC Regional Office for South Asia and Hijam Priyokumar, president, CADA.
Speaking on the occasion, Takhellambam Jitendra, general secretary, CADA said that Assam and Manipur were selected for the training programme to provide Assistance to States affected by drug abuse.
During the programme, many important topics including how to interact with children, how to inculcate good behaviour in them and how to deal with issues during the "risky years" of development were discussed.
