Imphal, January 25 2026: In commemoration of the 33rd Foundation Day of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, a three-day Indigenous Sports Meet is currently underway, featuring various events on its second day today.

The sports meet, involving students, faculty members, and staff, will conclude tomorrow, coinciding with the university's Foundation Day programme.

Today's events included a painting competition, rangoli competition, flower making arrangement competition, spoon race, water-filled pot race, sack race, blind hit, musical chair, and a vegetable and flower show.

Distinguished guests attended the event, including Vivek Kumar Dewangan, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur; Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice-chancellor, CAU Imphal; Prof Indira Sarangthem, Director of Instruction; Dr Lalita Mohan Gamayak, Director of Research; Prof Ph Ranjit Sharma, Director of Extension Education; Dr Tilak R Sharma, Registrar; Dr Ng Iboyaima Singh, Dean, College of Food Technology, Lamphelpat; and Prof K Nandini Devi, Dean, College of Agriculture, Iroisemba.
