'Plant more trees, ensure their survival'

Imphal, August 23 2025: Sekmai Assembly Constituency MLA Heikham Dingo attended a tree plantation drive at Khurkhul Makha Leikai today.

On the occasion, he also inspected trees that were planted three years ago, according to a press release.

Speaking on the occasion, the Sekmai MLA raised a call to not only plant tree saplings but to ensure their proper growth and maintenance.

Addressing growing climate concerns in Manipur, he firmly stood against deforestation and made an earnest appeal to stop felling of trees.

In order to give a sustainable planet to future generations, he urged people to plant more trees and to ensure their survival.

Notable dignitaries at today's event include H Debendro, Chairperson, Zilla Parishad, ward members of Khurkhul Gram Panchayat and elders of the village.
