Imphal, July 23 2026: Manipur Milk Producers' Cooperative Union Ltd.

(Manipur Dairy), a managed unit of the National Dairy Development Board, organised a One-Day Awareness Programme on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 at its Porompat office in Imphal East on Tuesday.

The programme aimed to sensitize staff and officials on the provisions of the POSH Act, 2013, and to reaffirm the Union's commitment to ensuring a safe, dignified and harassment-free workplace.

Delivering the keynote address, S Kenedy Singh, Managing Director, Manipur Dairy, stressed the need for a disciplined and professionally oriented workforce and reiterated the organisation's resolve to uphold statutory compliances and workplace ethics in letter and spirit.

Resource persons Advocate Thiyam Rajkeshor and Soraisam Debjani, president of Shared Grounds Foundation, explained the legal framework, provisions and redressal mechanisms under the Act, including the role and functioning of the Internal Committee.

The Internal Committee of Manipur Dairy was constituted on January 6, 2026 with five members, including three women.

The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session.
