Canadian High Commission's first Secretary visits Imphal

Imphal, February 23 2015:
First Secretary of Economic affairs of Canadian High Commission David Hamilton arrived in Imphal on Monday on a six-day official visit to Manipur.
His visit is related with economic and political affairs, said an official source.
During his stay in the State Capital, Hamilton will study on the resource potentials and investment in Manipur.
The source said that the Canadian Government has expressed its willingness to invest in Manipur on various projects proposed by the Centre with regard to Look East and Act East Policy.
Soon after his arrival, Hamilton attended a meeting chaired by state Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga at the South Block of the State Secretariat building.
Officials from Border Road Organisation (BRO), Land Customs Station, Moreh and Narcotic and Border Affairs, Imphal attended the meeting, said the source.
