Imphal, September 22 2024: Four retired teachers were honoured by Lions Club of Imphal, Lions International District 322D, as a part of the observance of Teachers' Day 2024 in a function held at its Service Centre in Sangaiprou on Sunday.

The teachers are Akham Domarendra Singh, retired Senior Lecturer, Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School; Ahongshangbam Sukumar Singh, retired Principal, Azad Higher Secondary School, Yairipok; Chungkham Subadani Devi, retired Principal, Standard College, Imphal and Prof Thoudam Nandarani Devi, retired Professor, College of Nursing, Medical Directorate.

The teachers were presented with a shawl and citation as symbol of honour and appreciation for their selfless service, said a release.

The teachers expressed deep gratitude to the Club for recognizing the services they had rendered for the welfare of the student community.

The event was gaced by Lions dun of Imphal president O Ranjit and past district governor, H Manikumar among others.

Besides, the Lions Peace Poster Contest, 2024 was also conducted today on the theme, "Peace Without Limits".

About 35 students of the age group 11 to 13 years participated in the contest.
