2nd round of National Deworming Day 2025 launched in Kakching

Kakching, October 20 2025: The District Health Society, Kakching launched the second round of National Deworming Day 2025 at Sora High School with the theme "Eliminate STH (Soil-transmitted helminths), Invest in a Healthier Future for Children".

The event was graced by Chief Medical Officer and District Mission Director of National Health Mission Kakching, Dr Thaodem Rajen as chief guest; Zonal Education Office Kakching, Deputy Inspector of Schools, Kh Binodini Devi as president; and District Programme Officer and Child Development Project Officer Kakching, Ningthoujam Parango Mangang; District Nodal Officer of Kakching District Child Health, Dr Kh Shyamananda as guests of honour.

Other dignitaries present included Md Azad Khan, Headmaster of Sora High School; Dr Khangembam Gopeshwr, MO in-charge of PHC Pallel; Oinam Pushpa Devi, District Programme Manager of District Health Society Kakching; and Wairokpam Hemabati, District Public Health Nursing Officer.
