DC Bishnupur attends civil-military fusion camp

Bishnupur, August 20 2025:
Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, today attended a Civil-Military Fusion Camp at Army Camp, Bishnupur.
The event aimed to foster better coordination and understanding between civil society and the military establishment.
As part of the programme, PowerPoint presentations were delivered from both civil and military representatives.
DC Pooja Elangbam presented on behalf of the civil administration, while the military presentation was done by a senior Army Officer.
Pooja Elangbam in her presentation highlighted several key areas where the Indian Army could play an instrumental role.
These included: providing security to farmers in fringe areas for cultivation activities, conducting civic action programmes at relief camps, organising awareness programmes for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) on law and order, collaborating with the District Police, Revenue Department and DRDO wherever necessary and facilitating community outreach initiatives, such as women's football tournaments.
The Deputy Commissioner also engaged in discussions with security officials regarding the prevailing law and order situation in the fringe areas of the district.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by the security forces, she assured the District Administration's continued support and cooperation to the best of its capacity.
The presentation from the military side emphasized on enhancing functional synergy between the Indian Army, Civil Administration, Police, and Central Armed Forces.
It also focused on improving situational awareness and boosting operational efficiency.
Today's camp served as a significant platform for collaborative dialogue and strategic planning between Civil Administration and Indian Army.
