Relief items distributed to flood-hit families

Noney, July 20 2025:
In aftermath of the disastrous flash flood that occurred in the intervening night of July 15 and 16 at Khoupum valley, Noney district, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Noney District Branch in collaboration with District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Noney on Sunday distributed relief materials such as hygiene kits, blankets, mosquito nets and food items to the flood-affected families of Gaidimjang Part-1 and Part-2, Gahtao, Lubanglong, Satudai, Duithanjang, Namkaolong Part-3 and Longkhuai (Goitang) villages.
The flash flood led to extensive damage of as many as 24 houses and submergence of vast tract of paddy fields under silts and debris.
The distribution programme was attended by IRCS Noney chairman Kenan Kamei, general secretary Agui Kamei, DCPU DEO R Abijah and other volunteers of IRCS, Noney.
Meanwhile, village authorities of the flood-hit villages of Khoupum Valley expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the IRCS, Noney branch and the DCPU for the yeoman service in times of need.
