Imphal, February 20 2026:
Sagolband Assembly Constituency MLA RK Imo Singh laid the foundation stone today for a new Radha Mandap (hall) at Sagolband Thangjam Leirak.
As per a release issued by the office of the MLA, the initiative aims to strengthen community infrastructure and preserve local cultural and religious traditions.
The previous hall in the area had fallen into disrepair.
Responding to residents' concerns, the MLA launched this project to create a modem space for religious functions, cultural performances, and community gatherings.
A nearby double-storey community hall with a badminton court is also set for renovation to improve its facilities.
This marks the third Radha Mandap under RK Imo Singh's initiative; similar halls at Amudon and Salam Leikai were inaugurated last year.
In a related development yesterday, RK Imo Singh hosted a Raj Health Wealth Card distribution at his Imphal residence.
He handed health cards to around 300 beneficiaries in the first phase, offering free access to up to 40% discounts on medical expenses at Raj Medicity, North AOC .
The programme seeks to make healthcare more affordable for constituents.
The event also saw about 25 individuals join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Addressing the gathering, RK Imo Singh highlighted ongoing developmental projects, advocated for principle-based politics and transparent governance.
He also stressed that true public service is continuous-not confined to election cycles.
