ESTIM signs MoU with Ukhrul colleges to offer global skill training

Ukhrul, September 19 2025: The Emporium Skills Training Institute, Manipur (ESTIM) has signed a MoU with St Joseph's College, Ukhrul Higher Secondary School, and Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Ukhrul, to provide employment-linked skill training and world-class placement opportunities to students currently pursuing Class 12 and undergraduate programmes.

As per the MoU, the students will be trained immediately after their board or graduation exams and will be offered direct placement job opportunities across the globe.

The initiative is in line with the objectives of the NEP 2020, which emphasizes industry linkages, practical training, and collaborations with national and international organizations to build employability skills.

The policy aims to integrate vocational education into mainstream education, with at least 50% of students having access to vocational training by 2025 .

Placements will be offered across multiple sectors including international airports, luxury hotels, cruise lines, healthcare, retail, and IT, both in India and overseas under the Skill India International initiative.

ESTIM further announced that it will also arrange and conduct campus interviews within schools and colleges in Ukhrul to connect students with leading industries and organizations and provide placements in over 20 countries to skilled and eligible candidates with Indian passports.
