3rd Kalen Art Exhibition commences

Moirang, May 18 2025: The third edition of a five-day art exhibition titled "Kalen Art Exhibition" kicked off today at Loktak Folklore Museum located in Thanga Tongbram Leikai, Bishnupur district.

Organised by the Loktak Folklore Museum, the inaugural function of the Kalen Art Exhibition was launched today in connection with the observance of International Museum Day.

It was attended by Thanga AC MLA, Tongbram Robindro Singh as chief guest, Manipur State Kala Akademi awardee in Fine Arts, Aribam Joychandra Sharma as functional president and Sahitya Akademi awardee, Yumlembam Ibomcha as guest of honour.

As part of the event, the Tongbram Ahongjao Meitei Art Award was presented to Wahengbam Nilopal Devi.

The jury members were also honoured with special gifts during the event.

Altogether 57 artists from Manipur and outside, including 5 award winning artists took part in the five-day art exhibition displaying their paintings to the people.
