Imphal, July 17 2025: Following the appointment of a regular Principal for Biramangol College, the Biramangol College Students Union (BMCSU) has decided to suspend its protest with immediate effect In a release, the BMCSU informed that the union has been protesting since June 23 demanding appropriate action against the the college's former Principal O Premila and IQAC Coordinator Dr S Rajesh for their alleged involvement in misappropriation of college fund; and appointment of a qualified & competent regular Principal of the College.

The BMCSU expressed its gratitude to the Commissioner/Principal Secretary of Higher & Technical Education Department for appointing a regular Principal of the College to ensure its smooth functioning and administration.

The BMCSU also urged the Principal Secretary/ Commissioner to conduct a thorough investigation on the misappropriation of college funds and award befitting punishment to the culprits.
