Imphal, May 16 2025: The High Court of Manipur has quashed the order terminating the service extension of Managing Directors of two power companies in Manipur.

The Managing Directors of two power companies, Hijam Shantikumar of Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) and Ng Subashchandra.

the MD of Manipur State Power Company Limited (MSPCL), had their contract appointments terminated on May 5 before completion without prior notice.

The Managing Directors of the two power companies challenged the termination orders, labelling them a denial of natural justice, and filed writ petitions before the High Court.

The hearing of the case was held today, following which the order was quashed by the High Court.
