On behalf of the Meitei Pangal community, All Manipur Muslim Organisations' Co-Ordinating Committee (AMMOCOC) extended condolences on the tragic demises of Kongbrailatpam Nganthoi Sharma and Lamnunthem Singson, who lost their lives in the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad.
In a condolence message, AMMOCOC information & publicity secretary Khulakpam Mukram P stated that Nganthoi and Lamnunthem would remain in their heart, prayers and in their collective memory as symbols of courage, hope and inspiration.
"During this difficult time, please know that our thoughts are with the families of both, we stand in solidarity with all who mourn this profound loss.
We honour their memory and stand in solidarity with those who grieve this loss".
"May their soul rest in peace, and may those left behind find comfort in cherished memories and the support of their community," it said.
Similarly, Shiv Sena Manipur Unit has offered its condolences on the death of Nganthoi and Lamnunthem and demanded a thorough investigation into the plane crash, a release by Shiv Sena Manipur president M Tombi said.
Meanwhile, in a heartfelt display of solidarity, residents of Pebiya Pandit Leikai came together to pay their respects to cabin crew member Kongbrailatpam Nganthoi Sharma, who tragically lost her life in the Air India plane crash on June 12 .
Pebiya Pandit Leikai Youth Development Organisation and Youth Foundation, Pebiya Pandit Leikai organised a candle light vigil on Saturday evening in remembrance of Nganthoi, who had lived with her relatives in the locality while pursuing her education.
Reflecting their deep connection with Nganthoi, the locals displayed a heart touching banner, reading, "We honour and remember the remarkable life you lived, spending your school days with friends in Pebiya Pandit Leikai" during the candle vigil.
With heavy hearts, the residents lit candles and observed a two-minute silence as a mark of extending grief and respect for the young woman.
Mention may be made that the plane crash claimed hundreds of lives, including two pilots and ten crew members, leaving families and loved ones in shock and grief.
