Awareness programme held

Under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, Government of India, Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission in collaboration with Yaiphakol Village Level Federation conducted a One-day awareness programme at Ereirna Ima Haraopung, Naranseina under Moirang constituency.
The awareness program held as part of 30-days National Gender Campaign, Nayi Chetna 3.0 was graced by Pradhan of Phubala Gram Panchayat, N Ranjit Singh, President of District Bar Association, W Lata Devi, District Coordinator MSLRLM, Somia Thokchom, President of Yaiphakol Village Level Federation, Oinam Kiranmala Devi, Secretary, Development Committee Naranseina, Longjam Premjit, President of Naranseina Meira Paibi Lup, N Lairikmacha and Secretary, Haobijam Tampak as presidium members.
Speaking at the occasion, Resource person W Lata stressed on various topics related to Crime against women, Gender based violence, Dowry and laws relating to violence against women.
Somia Thokchom, Districtcoordinator of MSRLM Bishnupur stated that the awareness programme was held as part of Gender Campaign Nayi Chetna 3.0 to enhance interpersonal skills of the members of Self Help Groups.
She continued that such a programme will help develop personality for those women who have performance anxiety.
Later as part of the programme, a cultural programme and an interaction programme was also held.
