Imphal, August 13 2025: The Rongmei Naga Luhphwam Manipur has urged authorities concerned of the Govt to take action against a social media handle "Kuki-land India" for making slanderous and derogatory remarks against freedom fighter Haipei Rani Gai-dinliu and the Nagas of Manipur.

In a statement, the Rongmei Naga body said the social media handle "Kuki India" insulted freedom fighter Rani Gaidinliu by calling her a "prostitute" and labelled Nagas of Manipur as "Kacha Naga" and "landless Naga" .

Haipei Rani Gaidinliu's legacy is cherished not only by the Naga community but also by the Nation.

The slanderous remarks against her are an insult to the Naga community and Indian women at large, it said.

The Govt must take legal action against the social media handle and persons operating it, demanded the Rongmei body.
