Cancer care drive taken to Bishnupur

Bishnupur, September 12 2025:
Cancer Survivors of Manipur (CaSOM) in association with Karkinos Cancer Care Institute and Research Centre.
Imphal organised an awareness cum free cancer detection camp at Loyalakpa Community Hall in Keinou Thongkha today.
The camp was held with the assistance of Keinou Youth Club.
Lam Ahingba VLF and Keinou Apunba Meira Paibi Lup.
Around 100 individuals were treated at the camp where staff of Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Keinou Thongkhong and doctors from PHC Oinam and CHC Nambol also offered their service.
Speaking in this connection, Rita Khomdram, secretary.

said that cancer cases are growing globally and emphasized that more women suffer from the disease.
To prevent cancer, she advised people to have general awareness and undergo the necessary cancer detection test at the right time.
If detected early, cancer can be cured in many instances.
Saying that cancer patients should be given both moral and physical support.
Rita Khomdram further informed that cancer medications can be obtained from CaSOM at reduced
prices.
