Special outreach programme on 'Viksit Bharat' held at Tentha Heibung

Imphal, January 12 2026:
The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information andBroadcasting, Regional Office, Imphal, in collaboration with Tranquility Club, Tentha Heibung, organised a Special Outreach Programme (SOP) on "Viksit Bharat" at the Community Hall, TenthaHeibung, Thoubal District, Manipur, on Monday.
The programme aimed to create awareness among the public about the vision of Viksit Bharat and the role of citizens, especially youth, in nation-building through inclusive development, education, and social responsibility.
Khangembam Priyojit Singh, Zila Parishad, Tentha Gram Panchayat, graced the occasion as chief guest, while Takhellambam Rishikanta Singh, Secretary, Tranquility Club, Tentha Heibung, presided over the function as functional president.
The event was also attended by Naorem Indrajit Singh, Founder of Naorem Koibi Student Foundation Institute as the guest of honour.
The event was graced by Dr Chinglen Maisnam, Head of the Department of South East Asian Studies, Manipur University, as a resource person.
In his address, Dr.Maisnam highlighted the importance of education, innovation, and community participation in achieving the goals of a developed India.
He added that the country will attain Viksit Bharat only when there is development of farmers, women and children.
The programme witnessed active participation from local residents, students, and community leaders.
The event concluded with an interactive session, including a quiz competition for participants reinforcing the collective responsibility of citizens towards building a developed, inclusive, and self-reliant India.
Departmental troupe from Central Bureau of Communications, Regional Office Imphal and PRTs also presented theme based songs of Viksit Bharat and cultural dances depicting diverse communities and cultures of the country.
