Imphal, March 11 2025: In view of Yaoshang festival, the Traffic Control Police Wing, Manipur has made arrangements to ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians and other commuters and check incidents of drunken driving, over speeding and other traffic violations.

According to a traffic advisory issued by.

Pramesh Arambam, MPS, SP, Traffic Control Police Wing, special traffic checking teams will be deployed at major intersections, vulnerable points for the Yaoshang celebration to detect and enforce traffic regulations and violations.

The public has been advised to i) not drink and drive, ii) observe traffic rules, iii) obey traffic signals, iv) drive safely, v) wear helmets, vi) avoid distractions, vii) no under age driving viii) no dangerous driving, ix) parking restriction and to be sensible while driving.

The aim is to reduce incidents and fatalities arising due to reckless driving and violation of traffic rules.
