President Pratibha Patil to visit Imphal next month

President Pratibha Patil will visit Manipur for a two-day visit on March 11 and 12.Imphal Raj Bhavan received a communiqu� from the Rastrapati Bhavan, official sources said Friday.
The communiqu� received yesterday has been intimated to all concern authorities including the Chief Ministers' office so that necessary arrangement could be made well ahead of the visit.
Patil will arrive in Imphal on March 11 in an IAF plane and will head directly to Imphal Raj Bhawan where she is planning to hold series of separate meetings after meeting with the Governor Gurbachan Jagat.
She will hold separate meetings with Chief Minister and ministers of SPF government at Raj Bhavan.
It will be followed by an interaction programme with teachers and students of various schools, the source disclosed.
During the meeting with Chief Minister and his ministers separately, source said that Present will be inquiring about action taken up by them with regard to the complaints received by her in various forms like memorandums.
There were many complaints against Chief Minister and his minister which reached the ear of the president.
Among others there include fund misappropriation meant for developmental activities, alleged corruptions which opposition party BJP is strongly charging against the SPF government.
She will hold interactions with teachers and students on the same day of his arrival.
The President is scheduled to leave Imphal by 10 am of next day, March12, the source added.
