Cheques worth Rs 18 lakh distributed to Bpr SHGs

Bishnupur, October 10 2025: Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur and District Mission Director, Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), Bishnupur Pooja Elangbam today distributed cheques to 12 Self Help Groups (SHGs) of the Luchingbi VLF of Kwasiphai under MSRLM Bishnupur.

A total Community Investment Fund of Rs 18 lakh was handed over to members of the SHGs during a simple ceremony held at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

Addressing the SHG members, DC Bishnupur Pooja Elangbam urged them to utilise the funds cautiously to generate income.

She emphasized the importance of financial independence, stating that having one's own income not only helps support the family but also strengthens one's voice within the household and in the society.

Pooja Elangbam further assured all possible support from the District Administration for the growth and development of SHGs in the district.

She also appreciated the dedicated efforts of MSRLM Bishnupur in empowering women and strengthening the rural economy.

Toijam Opendro, ADM Bishnupur; Angom Amaijit, District Mission Manager MSRLM Bishnupur, other concerned officials and members of SHGs attended the programme.
