SLNA (WM) distributes farm and livelihood equipment to 54 beneficiaries

The State Level Nodal Agency (SLNA) for Watershed Management, Manipur on Thursday distributed items under the Production System component of PMKSY-WDC 2.0 at Laipham Khunou, Imphal East.
Dr Nivedita Lairenlakpam, Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East and Dr Rajkumari Sunita Devi, Chief Executive Officer, SLNA (WM), Manipur distributed the items to 54 beneficiaries.

ADM/Project Manager, DC Office, Imphal East and Ng Rajesh Singh, Senior Finance Officer, SLNA (WM), Manipur were present.
A total of 4 power tillers, 6 sewing machines and 2 power looms were distributed to beneficiaries from Paurabi (7), Nungoi (7), lyampal (7), Nongada (7), Luwangsangbam (13) and Laipham Siphai (13).Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nivedita congratulated the beneficiaries and encouraged them to utilise the items effectively to sustain livelihoods and scale up their enterprises, while appreciating the initiative of SLNA.
Dr Sunita said the items were identified during participatory group discussions at the State Level Workshop on Production System under PMKSY-WDC 2.0 held on May 12, 2026, where participants prioritised their needs from the permissible list of items.
An interactive session was also held with the participants to identify future requirements and items desired under upcoming phases of the project.
All beneficiaries are Udyam Aadhaar holders, registered as individual firms/ enterprises.
The power loom and power tiller recipients are consortiums/federations of individual enterprises/firms, officials said.
