Student bodies of Jiribam submit 4-point memorandum to Governor

Jiribam, July 10 2025: Six student bodies of Jiribam, AMSU,MSF, DESAM, KSA, SUK and AIMS have jointly submitted a four-point memorandum to the Governor of Manipur through the Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, demanding the establishment of a DIET centre in the district.

Speaking to the media persons after submitting the memorandum, KSA president K Somorjit expressed concern over the delay in setting up the DIET centre.

He warned that if no positive response is received from the Government within five days, the student bodies will be compelled to launch various forms of agitation to press their demand.

He further urged the authority to expedite the construction work of the DIET building in Jiribam, which was initiated in 2023, so that academic sessions can begin by 2025 .
