Imphal, November 09 2025: A book titled "Fire of Freedom from Lullabies" written by Toijam Vogendra was released today in a function held at Lamyanba Shanglen, Konung Lampak, Imphal.

The function organised by the Apunba Khorirolgee Malemgee Lup was graced by dignitaries, including Ningthemcha Sanayaima, former chairman of UNLF; Waikhom Amuchou Meitei, president, Apunba Khorirolgee Malemgee Lup; and Dr Ksh Subadani, president, LEIKOL.

Dr Longjam Sharatchandra, Associate Professor, DM University gave a brief review and introduction of the book.

Similarly, a book titled "Kabui Khunung Eshei Luh Tin 115", a compilation of Kabui folk songs was released today in a function held at Keishamthong Kabui Community Hall, Imphal.

The book release function organised by the Keishamthng Kabui Khangchu was presided over by Banpa Biren Kamson.

Giving a brief introduction & review of the book, Star Kamei who played a key role in editing the book said that the book is a compilation of Kabui folk songs passed down through generations.

He shared that the 1st edition of the book was released in 2006 and after 19 years, the 2nd edition of the book which contains 115 folk songs related to 7 traditional events/rituals was released.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Pouphullung Kamei.
