Imphal, May 09 2026: An indigenous people's meet will be held on May 28 at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, Konung Lampak under the aegis of the Federation of Haomee (FoH) .

Speaking to media persons at their Kabo Leikai, Dewlahland office today, FoH president Sapamcha Jadumani said that a joint meeting of the indigenous peoples has been necessitated by the unceasing aggression of outsiders and the urgent need to face it collectively.

Jadumani also expressed strong suspicion whether the Assam Rifles were patronising Kuki militants long before the paramilitary force signed Suspension of Operation agreement with Kuki militant groups in 2005 .

It appears that SoO agreement has a hidden objective to suppress insurgents.

"We have no objection to suppression of insurgents but challenging the integrity of Manipur and killing innocent people in the name of suppressing insurgents must be faced collectively", Jadumani said.

He then appealed to all the indigenous people to attend the meeting so as to adopt a collective resolution.
