DC Bishnupur chairs meeting on law & order, harvesting, and community welfare

Bishnupur, November 05 2025:
Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, today chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex to review the prevailing law and order situation, harvesting activities, and other related issues.
The meeting was attended by the Superintendent of Police, Th Shangkar Deba, representatives of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), and other District Level Officers.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on ensuring security during harvesting near fringe areas and addressing issues such as clearance of mud and debris left by vehicles on roads, which may pose risks to motorists.
The DC also highlighted the important role of CSOs in community development and social harmony.
She expressed gratitude to the organisations for their continued efforts and urged them to keep working for the welfare of the people.
She assured full cooperation and support from the District Administration in all initiatives aimed at building a better society.
Pooja further informed that, although dengue cases in the district remain relatively low, it is essential to stay alert and maintain precautionary measures.
She mentioned ongoing collaborative work with NGOs for district development and encouraged CSOs to submit proposals or recommendations for potential projects.
"Together, let us work towards building a better Bishnupur," she added.
The meeting was also attended by ADM Toijam Opendro, AC to DC S Gunamani, and other districtlevel officers including the CMO and ZEO .
