Campus Placement Drive 2026 held

Imphal, May 05 2026: In collaboration with CII MCC, Guwahati, the Directorate of Craftsmen Training, Government of Manipur organised a Campus Placement Drive-2026 at ITI, Takyel for recruitment of students into top reputed companies of India.

According to Thangjam Motilal, Nodal Officer (Placement), ITI, Takyel, 34 students took part in the recruitment and 19 gained selection in TAFE and Tata Electronics.

Such placement drives are routinely held, with today's event being the third of its kind conducted during this academic year, he said.

In previous drives, more than 50 students were placed in different well-known companies in the country.

Meanwhile, Longjam Subhaschandra, Joint Director, Directorate of Craftsmen Training said that the placement drive was held to tackle the problem of unemployment in Manipur to some extent.

It is an attempt to give jobs to the ITI trainees by ensuring their placement in the relevant industry.

Kh Arora, Assistant Director, DCT was also present on the occasion.

Other notable dignitaries present at the drive include G Bedamani, Supervisor, ITI Manipur; Yogesh Thapa, (Centre In-charge) Assam University ,CII MCC; Biju Moni Kalita, Manager, (Placement), C1I MCC and Kh Rameshwor, Supervisor, ITI, Manipur among others.
