Imphal, October 04 2025: The Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM), Council Headquarters has appreciated the authorities of the Government of Manipur, particularly the Health Department, for approving and selecting the site at Senapati District for the establishment of the first Model Rural Health Research Unit (MRHRU) in Manipur.

The TYCM-CHQ, in a statement, said it submitted a memorandum to the Chief Secretary on July 14, 2025, and to the Commissioner, Health & Family Welfare, on July 15, 2025, urging consideration of Senapati as a proposed site for establishing a Model Rural Health Research Unit (MRHRU) under the ICMR-funded Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

The TYCM-CHQ appealed to the relevant authorities to initiate necessary action at the Selected site at the earliest possible to address the hardships faced by the general public.
