ENEEF felicitates Mangka Mayanglambam

Imphal, September 04 2026: Emerging North-East Eco Forum (ENEEF) today felicitated its Cultural Ambassador Mangka Mayanglambam, renowned Manipuri folk singer and one of the few female Pena artists, at a closed function here.

The function was graced by ENEEF vice president Dr I D Dingambou, patron and former MP Dr Lorho Pfoze, chief advisor Lt General (retired) K Himalay Singh and spokesperson Ajay Chanam.

Mangka, best known for "Hada Samadon Ayangba", the opening theme of the 8th Manipur International Polo Tournament 2014 at Mapal Kangjeibung, has been serving as ENEEF's Cultural Ambassador since February 2026.She represents ENEEF's people-to-people connect initiative using North-East's cultural heritage to foster ties with Southeast Asia.

As a goodwill gesture towards ENEEF's North-East development vision, Okinawa Autotec presented an electric scooter to Mangka.

Speaking on the occasion, Mangka said, "Let us not only speak about the North-East, but also let us make the North-East heard, respected, and celebrated".

Lt Gen (retired) K Himalay Singh said felicitating Mangka is honouring the soul of North-East India and that ENEEF with establishments in Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and networks across several countries is taking North-East from periphery to centre of India's Act East and BIMSTEC vision.

Okinawa Autotec founder Jeetender Sharma said the sponsorship reflects shared commitment towards sustainable and self-reliant India and Viksit Bharat.
